Amsterdam is a hotspot for house music since the early 90’s. The sound from that period still resonates in dance music today and inspires Franky Caldera to be a part of the city’s legendary nightlife. While respecting the classics, he gives his own modern twist to the genre with a smooth balance between catchy uplifting tunes and solid tech grooves. Using the wide variety that house music has to offer, his DJ sets take the audience on a ride along iconic synth riffs and influences from various music styles such as latin, disco and soul.

Since 2010 Franky has performed as a resident DJ for club nights like ‘Kalitey – Cocktail & Clubbing’ and ‘Sexy Lou Lou’, which gave him the opportunity to play between the likes of DJ Jean, Brothers in the Booth and DJ Roog.

To provide his fans with an occasional dose of fresh music, Franky runs the ‘DJ Lounge Podcast’ together with fellow DJ Ronnie Vieira. Like a good club night, they carefully build up the energy of each episode from atmospheric deep house to that delicious peak time club sound.

Furthermore he also enjoys playing a deeper style of music that mostly evolves around progressive and trance. This can best be heard in his online ‘Dreamcatcher’ mix series and his appearance as a guest performer in DJ JP’s ‘Rebel Radio’ show on Studio 80 Radio.
